This collection of Old Japan Figurines Larger (7 inch high or larger) i consider to be the best example of what Japan has contributed to the world of small and affordable music boxes. All the figurines are done in the same style and coloring, are well executed in detail and are easily recognizable. They can even be compared with Hummel's. I estimate the period they were being produced as the sixties and seventies (no markings, therefore an estimate). A great many different objects in this style were produced of which this collection gives an idea, although it is not complete by a long shot.
