Mayflower: could refer to either the Thanksgiving song (not tune given) or, more likely here, the name of a well-known restaurant at the time in Sorrento, that may have beren selling these music boxes.. One wonders about the music mechanism, it looks like it has been replaced, extra hole in bottom not matching music mechanism and seems earlier than the piece itself that looks like seventies. |
